The flashing lights in the tree are too distracting…

June 16, 2024Overall, the set is just” OK”. I don’t like the flashing lights in the tree, so I rarely even bother to turn any of the lights on.
The remote control is capable of different functionality, so I would have preferred it if the flashing could be controlled by the remote. Being unable to turn off the flashing effect really disappointed me, (I always use the remote to turn off the string of flashing lights, so half of the tree is always dark. That looks bad too…)
(Quite honestly, if I had known about the inability to turn off the flashing effect before buying the set, I likely would have passed…)
Cute

December 11, 2023Hesitated to get at first because I figured I really only wanted the Eeyore minifig 😅 so I got the keychain first. Husband convinced me we should get it anyway. I was a little bummed to see the Winnie minifig have a red line on the bottom of his belly. Didn't realize it was obviously photoshopped out of most of the promotional pictures and box art. I did notice other reviewers' pictures have the same thing so I've gotten over that little "miscommunication" lol. I understand that it's just part of the minifig production process and no biggie. I also understand the price is probably because of the usual higher pricing with any non-Lego IP theme. I just thought a little side build of Eeyore's Gloomy Place would have been a great addition to this as well! So I made my own. Improvised a bit because I don't have many spare parts yet, but I also gave him some thistle bushes to munch on. 🙂
Nice to look at, But DON'T TOUCH IT

January 22, 2023I love Pooh. Grew up with it. THe set was cute, but I had to have my kid put this together because the instructions weren't very clear and I couldn't see them. But in the end it looked fine, however...you can't play with it. This is the kind of set that you want to super glue because every time you touch it pieces fall off. And I mean, from all over. The selection of features may be accurate, but they are also precarious. I've never handled it where the bee hives didn't fall off. Tiles fall off when you open the house part. The roof is so low you can't put fingers in to touch the pooh sticks, and if you do something else is gonna fall off. The door can't be closed from the outside, the knob is too close. So you have to push it from the inside, which means you have to open the house and risk losing your roof again. Its just a poor execution, and I wouldn't let me kid play with it. I can't even play with it. But if you let it sit there then its fine.
Not straightforward

February 9, 2023I have bought many many expert Lego sets and I’m very disappointed in how the book was laid out for this set. It was not clear at all where the pieces go on each page. Most of it is all the same colour and you have to look all over the previous build to see where each new piece goes. Usually they highlight each new row but they did not do that in this book so I found I did not enjoy building this like I usually do. It was very disappointing and on some pages you had to put pieces on the back and it did not show on the page exactly where they went so I found it frustrating. I have spent a lot of money on Lego and appreciate the value for the money I spend so I was quite disappointed with that in this case. Otherwise I enjoyed the set and the figures although would like to have Christopher Robin, Owl, Kanga and Roo added as others have said.
