I bought the Refurbished (Excellent) Samsung S20 Ultra on May 10, 2024 and showed up on May 15, 2024. I had this phone already for about a week and a half so might be a bit early to review but so far so good. The phone came in an un-official white box which was packaged and wrapped. Inside was the phone and a small USB-C to USB-C cable to transfer your data. The seller did ask if I wanted the Cosmic Grey as the shipment for black has been delayed. I said ok. Don't matter to me, there will be a case. The phone has a screen protector. Not perfect but better than nothing. I see no visible scratches anywhere.

I did hardware tests and I did come to one issue. In Settings / Battery and device care / Diagnostics / Phone diagnostics / Battery status failed the test. (everything passed but that one). It says Battery issue detected Life: Weak, Capacity: 5000 mAh (typical) Now I am not sure what was refurbished but I am guessing that was. The battery seems fine so far. From reading online some have said the following: The ASOC and battery settings need to be reset after a battery change, and this can only be achieved at a Samsung Service centre. Perhaps Samsung pulling an unfriendly The Right to Repair thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
AccuBattery was installed on day one so it does say the Battery Health is 91% Estimated capacity is 4,440 mAh / Design capacity is 4,855 mAh so not bad. AIDA64 says the battery health is Good.

Hard to tell the full story of a phone's history when you dont have the "log book" of its life but so far happy. I did also check the IMEI to see if the phone is blacklisted. Nope. Clean pass. I am using Lucky Mobile and works as expected. All the cameras work the same with SIM, MicroSD and everything else. 0 complaints. I was skeptical about buying this phone because of all the other reviews but took a gamble and it paid off. With the experience I had, when I look for another phone, I'll buy from this seller again.

Yes, my fault.I dropped my phone, but Samsung's fault - They made a FLIMSY back to this phone. It's SHATTERED and pieces were coming off!! I had to use duct tape to make sure it stayed together!! Yes, i am clumsy BUT my last phone after being dropped 12 Times only had a Minorly cracked screen, nothing else!! I did not have that one in a case either!! It was also a Samsung but obviously waaaay better built. I really Kind of wish I had the inferior model, just so it was sturdier!! Don't buy this product unless you buy a case!!! Because you won't have a very long!!! I cannot provide a picture of what it looks like. Because if I took the duck table off the backing on the phone is so flimsy, it will come off with the duct tape, but rest assured there are plenty of cracks and pieces falling off. So Needless to say I bought a case so my back in doesn't further deteriorate. I just think

TLDR; originally nervous about ordering unlocked phone; working great 1 week in; fingerprint reader is meh Fully unlocked Galaxy S20 Ultra (Renewed) ordered from thegadgetdeals on Amazon Marketplace to replace my Galaxy S9, which I have really enjoyed over the last 3 years but is now too slow and not enough storage for my liking. I went with the S20 rather than upgrading to an S21 primarily because of the expandable storage available with the S20 [I'm bummed Samsung is going away from this - it was one of the great things that set them apart from Apple... boooo!]. Anyway, Verizon has pretty much refused to restock their S21 Ultra 512 GB during the last 4-6 months, hence I ultimately pulled the trigger on this phone. Regarding the product according to the seller: arrived quickly and as promised. Few scratches on back cover that I care nothing about at all (expected as this is a refurb). Otherwise, seems in great condition. Came with a charger as promised. I was nervous about ordering unlocked phone as I have always purchased through my carrier, but I inserted my Verizon sim card, and it seems to be working great. Regarding the phone itself (S20 Ultra versus my old S9): FAST - by far what I'm happiest about. My old phone was really dragging in responsiveness. Front (selfie) camera noticeably WAY better. Rear camera - I'm sure is better, but I expected to notice a huge difference and other than the fact that I can zoom in a lot more, the quality when I zoom in isn't just over the moon better than my old phone (ie, on 8x zoom, photos from the 2 phones look similar). But I will say, the "live focus" that resembles the "portrait mode" of an iPhone makes me excited. Plus there's other nice features, like zooming out (wide view), etc. Overall happy with this. NEGATIVES..... my only complaint that I hope doesn't ruin my experience with this phone is the FINGERPRINT READER. The actual reader on the back of the S9 was seemingly perfect. I LOVED it - almost never had issues. Why, WHY?! did they go to a digital one. It seems to work fine without a case or screen protector. I've tried a few cases thus far that all claim to work well with the reader but NO. With case on, it works like 25% of the time (followed all the directions). And honestly, I'm not sure I blame the cases - seems like everyone is having issues with this. I'm ordering some screen protectors that have decent reviews and *fingers crossed*. Oh, also, this phone is big, like huge. I think (hope) I'll get used to it, but wow. Samsung, please review the size of female pockets before designing your next phone.
