My husband and kids built the Home Alone LEGO house a couple of years ago at Christmas and ever since, it's been stored in its own Rubbermaid container to take out each year as part of our Christmas decorations. It took them quite a while to build it and is such a cool piece that we wanted it to be on display!

Last year I purchased a light kit from Amazon and found out quickly that the pieces didn't snap on correctly with the LEGOs and abandoned assembly because I didn't want to ruin the build.

This year I decided to try again and researched quite a few light kits, but I stumbled across this one from Game of Bricks and am so happy I did! It's definitely delicate work to add the lights, but the photo instructions made it incredibly easy to follow and they were all installed and ready to go after a couple of hours.

I love that the lights are USB powered and have them plugged into a block with a timer on it so that they go on and off with my Christmas trees. And when I say this is a game changer, I mean it! The lights elevate this already amazing LEGO set to a whole new level of awesomeness!

I did have one issue with one of the wires and reached out to customer service. To my delight, not only did they send a replacement, they also followed up to ask how it went and if I needed anything else! Also, I learned that the lights have a 2 year warranty so if I have any other issues I'm covered.

I have zero regrets about buying this kit and would definitely recommend it!

Love the lights and the addition of music, and sound clips from the movie puts this LEGO set over the top. Well worth the money and a bit of stress installing the light kit. Sometimes trying to hide the wires keeps the pieces from fitting together tightly but virtually unnoticeable. Only downside is it eats through batteries. Would be great if there was a way to just plug into a wall. Or have batteries last long than a few hours. We only display house during Christmas time so not a big deal. None of that would keep me from buying another light kit from Game of Bricks. Highly recommend

This is a wonderful bit of kit. It takes some concentration and patience but it's well worth it in the end. Every time I switch the lights on it makes me smile and that is the main thing. It's the first light kit I have fitted to a Lego set so I took my time and enjoyed it. I would advise using a set of tweezers at some points to help if using your fingers becomes difficult. I even developed a technique to use the tweezers to connect the circuits. I purchased the led sign to go with it which adds a lot to the overall effect. Thanks and Happy Christmas everyone! 🎄

This was the first time we had bout any light kits and weren’t sure what to expect. Delivery was super fast to the UK - 4/5 days.
The instructions were very visual and easy to follow. This it helped having two people doing it but still took around 4 hours. The wires and connectors are understandably tiny therefore it is very fiddly at parts. I foound that using a pair of tweezers helped to connect some of them.
Overall I’m really pleased with this- my kids are delighted with how good it looks. Will definitely buy from this company again.
