Although its missing some professional features such as follow me, and its sensors arent as good in low light situations, it is great for hobbyists that just want a nice drone that shoots great 4K quality videos. For the price that its being listed for in most places, it is the best budget drone you can get on the market as 2021 is coming to an end. Maybe a mini 3 will come out, but for now if you want a budget professional drone, the mini 2 is your best bet. With amazing video quality and DJIs best features like return to home, Occusync 2.0, easy to use quick shot features, and an amazing 3 axis gimbal, it shoots smooth and breathtaking videos with amazing connection. When it comes to professional uses though, it lacks in camera quality compared to the Mavic Pro 2 or Mavic Air 2, which both have significantly better and sharper image production when compared to the Mini 2. The mini 2 camera is still amazing, its just that compared to the higher quality drones you can tell a difference since its video quality is a bit noisier and the color profile is harder to work with. Lets take the Mavic Air 2 for example, its half the price of the Mavic Pro 2 yet some people even prefer the 4K shooting quality of the Air 2 over the Pro 2 and it has some real competition. However; the Mini 2 is less than half the weight of the Air 2, making it the best travelers drone due to how compact it is. Easily fitting into tight spaces like your jacket pocket, and not needing to be registered since its under the 250g weight limit, it is the most convenient portable drone that you can probably get which gives you a lot more freedom if your out shooting. Its up to you to decide which to choose. However, if your just looking at the budget 2 because its right at the maximum of your budget, and you know youll photograph and travel often, it will be a solid investment. I do recommend getting the fly more combo though, well worth the money.

Straight out of the box, you have everything you need to fly. Owning a DJI Spark, I didn't need to learn much when it came to flying the DJI mini 2. However, the Mini 2 does use a slightly different app than the Spark. But overall, The drone flies effortlessly under calm conditions. Even with a little wind, The mini 2 seemed quite stable. I wish the Mini 2 had more LED lights flashing on the underside to make it more visible in the air. The three speed settings are very noticeable and can really help in getting that cinematic shot you're looking for. Like most drones and their software, take the time to watch some videos on YouTube and read articles online that give you insight on how to adjust app settings like, aperture, brightness, etc. It's quite amazing seeing the quality of footage that you can obtain from this relative low price-point drone. If you need more accessories, then spend a bit more for the more expensive bundles. I bought a propeller holder strap since the basic bundle didn't have one. I feel that was so important to prevent your propellers from flapping around while folded up and stored. Flight time is not bad averaging about 20 -30 minutes depending on how you are flying the drone and if the wind is strong. The three axis gimbal is a great feature. the video stability is quite great for such a tiny lightweight drone. There's no doubt it's one of the best bang for the buck drones on the market today.

I started off years ago with the Phantom 3 advanced. The price was right at 1K here on ebay, with one battery. This kit includes 3 batteries giving an overall flight time of about an hour and a half. It has the same top speed as the Phantom 3 A. Weighing in 2.5 pounds less it requires no registration. The video is excellent in 4k resolution which you can crop or downscale anytime you want. The same for the color rendition. With the exception of speed this uav even out performs the Phantom 4 series except the pro. The ability to charge the batteries through a usb c connection, the same as on most current phones, is definitely a plus. You can charge on the go in your car easily. An excellent value for full features and no FAA registration (as of now) at half the price of the original popular Phantom series. AND it all fits in a case the size of an average purse. Enjoy.

I saw this DJI refurbished combo, and it was about $150 LESS than the exact same combo new (not-refurbished). When I looked at the details, it was a real bargain. The refurbished drone was refurbished BY dji (not some outside company). It was being sold as cosmetically perfect. It carried the same warranty. So I ordered it. It came in factory new packaging with all accessories. It looked and functioned exactly as new. I was able to purchase the same damage-protection program. In short, it was EXACTLY like a factory new drone, but for some reason was listed as "refurbished". Trust me, you give up NOTHING when you buy this. On to the drone itself. Amazing drone. Super solid in the air. Holds its position well in the wind. The camera/video is amazing quality and the gimble on DJI drones stabilizes the camera so you get beautiful cinematic shots. For an inexpensive drone, the DJI Mini 2 delivers so much value. It's probably the perfect drone for someone who wants a small, portable drone that you can take with you on vacation to get fantastic clear aerial shots. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.
