Great model with some misstakes
Spider· Review provided by LEGO · April 23, 2024
The headliner say nearly all what I think of this modell. It is a great idea and well set up, except for something misstakes. The first is what I thought everyone knows, Vikings never used horn on helmets and only few used metal helmets, only the rich or them who have found one during fight. And Vikings was not dirty. It was the European Christians who was dirty. Here in Scandinavia one of the week days still tells which day you shave and wash your self. And it was Saturday. Saturday is lørdag in Scandinavia and origin from Løgare-dagen and løga means wash(but then Scandinavian took after the dirty Christian and also became dirty people). And little sad is that there dont seems to come more viking models, especially when you are person who like lego and Vikings.
Headache

I've never put a negative review before on any set I've purchased. However this set I was unable to enjoy building. To be informative;
Build instructions- Not per usual sets, this set had steps that had many pieces on certain pages opposed to few per page. Some pages, there so many steps on one page it made for a major headache. There was no gratification from the giant long steps either. Long steps =hidden steps or rock formations, that didnt really provide any amazing appearance. Complicated build techniques sideways pieces, or the round stones were very hard to be exactly place in right spot 1st time.
The buildings don't give you gratification after all the long steps nor give any spectacular definite detail that makes it worth 20 pages for rock or steps that barely can see. Honestly I just wanted this build to end once I began. I own the Titanic and about 150 other sets, aside from very few frustrations, this one made me wish not to purchase. I wanted the viking set so bad too 😔. Great minifigs, good piece count, weak connections at the base and poor details for the amount of steps (except for a few printed tiles that were nice). Overall, don't recommend and honestly doesn't size up very well. Quite small compared to the Creator caslte and dwarfed by the Treehouse. That said, still AFOL however I'll read more reviews and look a Lil further from now on
Amazing Value blending play and display
Run emc· Review provided by LEGO · June 12, 2024
This was my first large set build ever. I was told by the Lego store employees how great and an amazing value the Viking village was and I was not disappointed.
Pros:
Price per piece can't be beat
Unique Minifigures that work well with set
Tons of little details and interesting use of hot dogs
Easy to play with kids with or display
Cons:
Not as smooth as other sets lots of exposed pegs
Not very strong connection between the building plates mean you need to be extra careful moving it
Definitely aimed a little more to the play side of things
Not alot of viking based expansion

Overall this was great build that took several days to put it all together
Best Viking Lego Set EVER!
EmperorHypnoticMartian· Review provided by LEGO · April 21, 2024
Every little detail in this Lego set is amazing! I love it that all the buildings are fully enclosed, but the blacksmith shop is open to let air in. The only thing that is lacking in Lego Vikings in general is that they need to have hair attached to their helmets to make them look more tough, burly and strong. More beards. I like the helmet that has face and neck protection but I liked it more with the gold printing on the front that was with the Collectable Minifigure Viking from a few years ago. I think that Lego could make improved Viking Minifigures in the future with more helmet variants and styles and more shield colors.
This is one of my top ten favorite Lego sets of all time!
