[Rewarded Review] Fun, sturdy, but receiver is backwards
BB· Review provided by walmart.com · March 6, 2023
These are fun and my girls love having them in their room for a party-feel, mood lighting, or to just have a dim, easy-to-reach light at night for late-night reading.
The numbers on the remote that say "fade 3," "jump 7," etc. are the number of colors in the sequence. Fade 3/jump 3 cycles through red, green, and blue. Fade 7/jump 7 cycles through red, green, blue, light green (more like yellow), purple, light blue, and white. I am disappointed that orange was left out of the sequence since it's my favorite color. I feel like it makes more sense to cycle through with orange than white since white isn't a fun color.
One crucial thing I noticed that I didn't see in the instructions is that the light strip has to be attached to the power cord in a specific way. There are four prongs, and they will fit in any way you turn them, but there is a piece of the plug that is shaped to fit into the strip like a key and it won't turn on or screw shut without this being put together properly.
I discovered something interesting about this strip that I haven't seen with any of the other LED color-changing lighting we have at home. You can dim individual colors and they will stay at that setting even when choosing to fade or flash the colors. I think that's neat, but I personally would prefer the sequences to default to the colors all being at the same brightness level, with the option to change the brightness of all of them at once instead of separately.
The one thing I really don't like about this strip is that the receiver has to be upright or at least sideways so the remote will work, so you are going to have to attach this so it faces the correct way. The way the bulky cord is made doesn't make doing this as easy as other, smaller LED lighting kits I've used that come with a flat receiver box that is separate from the plug, isn't so close to where the lights plug in, and doesn't flip around depending on the way the lights are plugged in. The receiver on our light strip is made so that when the lights are facing the wall, the receiver faces the user, and when the lights are facing out and can be seen, the receiver faces the wall. The receiver has a button on it you can use to cycle through every option on the remote, which is super handy if you lose the remote or don't feel like getting up to get it, etc.
It only came with 6 clips to attach it. That may not be enough depending on what you are doing. We put it on the wall and ceiling, and definitely could have used more clips, but it looks fun and we like it this way.
[Rewarded Review] Color Changing Strip Light

Very nice indoor/outdoor strip light set. I like that you can attach up to four light strips together and control them with one remote. I am using these lights outside on my deck, so it’s nice to see that the lights have protective covers over all the electric connections for safety. The colors are very bright at night and give a great look to whatever you’re lighting up. I am thinking of getting some more sets of these to use around my garage door because I love that look. The LED lights give such a nice glow, it really looks impressive. The set comes with 8 plastic clips and screws to attach the strip to whatever you need to. If you don’t want to use the screws, you could probably get some heavy duty double sided tape and attached them that way as well. The remote control lets you turn the lights on and off as well as manually change the colors, increase or decrease the brightness of the lights, and change the speed. The remote also has six different pre-set modes that automatically cycle through with changing colors, pulsing of the lights and speed changes. It’s a lot of fun to play with the different settings. To use the remote outside, the temperature has to be between negative four degrees and one hundred and forty degrees Fahrenheit, which is a pretty wide range. Also, in order for the remote to work you need to make sure that the infrared sensor that is attached to the end of light strip is visible, or at least able to be aimed at by the remote so it can work.
[Rewarded Review] Ambiance!

I was very impressed with this light strip. BHG always has great stuff, though! I have bought many light strips in the past for my kids rooms and I expected this to be along those same lines. I was mistaken. This light strip is extremely heavy duty. The connector between the outlet plug and strip of lights is amazing. It is as thick as an extension cord and reinforced with a screw on connection piece and rubber seal to ensure that water does not get inside the connection and that the connection stays together. This has always been the biggest problem with other light strips; the connection between the plug and the lights always broke. With this light strip from BHG, this is no longer an issue! We have had this product a few weeks and I am loving its versatility. We currently have it in our house on top of our entertainment center to light up the room at night. Being able to change the colors of the house nightlight is really fun. The remote offers a ton of lighting options. Something else unique and very exciting about this light strip is able to control the light strip without having to be in direct line of sight to it! I can point the remote towards the top of the entertainment center and the light changes without me having to stick my hand up over the top and point it at it. I can sit across the top on the couch and change the light! It also came with brackets to hang it. This will be helpful this summer when we spend more time on the back patio because I plan to string it up around the porch roof. The length is a big plus, but the most exciting thing is that the end of the light strip has a connection to attach ANOTHER light strip. If you have a big space, you can just get another strip and plug it into the first strip without having to find another outlet or have a break in your light chain! I am so happy with this product and if/when I need another light strip, I will definitely be purchasing another one of these.
[Rewarded Review] Vibrant light strip, but a bit tricky setting up

I chose these Better Homes and Gardens 120 Volt 36 Watt 16-Foot Color Changing LED Outdoor Lights to brighten up my outdoor deck. After taking all parts out of the bag, I noticed that there was a wound up light strip, a remote, a connector cord with a switch panel and plug, and plastic mounting clips with screws. My issue was the connector cord that has a female input (four holes) has to fit in a precise way with the male ended light strip with 4 prongs. There is a small little notch on the top that indicates how it is supposed to connect with the other piece. I literally thought my product was broken until I closely inspected it after 15 minutes. I even tried taking replacing the fuse that is in the plug (you have to push in the notch on the side of the plug to see where the fuse is plugged in and where the spare fuse is). Once I got the connector in correctly, the strip lit up with me using the control pad and the remote. There's a small "instruction" paper that comes with the box that is more of a warning manual than guide. It did not help me at all. On the bright side (pun intended), I love being able to circulate between the 8 color options with the flick of a button. I also like that you can control the brightness, flash, fade, and speed of the lights. My only other complaint is that I wish there was 3M sticky adhesive on the back of these lights to allow this to stick easier to walls and other surfaces.
